Welcome 2010! Typically in January I am moved to do Spring cleaning! This year it has been thrust upon me, but I will take advantage all the same! One of the biggest differences I DESIRE for this year, for this new decade-is to incorporate the lessons from the past.... PERHAPS everything old is new again? As an example, when I was young and complaining that I had this "old" wool blanket on my bed..my mother explained to me that this blanket had come from the McCandrews estate..that it was made from the wool of the lambs on the estate, and made for her as a wedding gift....To create things with such INTENTION, The "hands on touch" of the gift! Romancing of the product has made it timeless in my eyes! I fell in love with the blanket from that day on.. Perhaps it is why I still hand pour my products! I realize that you are not only sharing the fabulous fragrance, but you are sharing the energy, the intention, the experience of the product! So As you are welcoming in the New Year, and if like me you are doing your Spring cleaning in January... Consider adding something Old, something hand made...Spring cleaning in January...means new sheets, or great old linen sheets- found at the flee market that are new to you, and washed in your favorite e harcourts linen wash... then ironed with our NEW linen spray in "everlasting" ..... To create a spa like experience: One of my favorite "bath recipes for winter ".. purchase a small box of powdered milk..it smells AWFUL- but it is skin soothing & smoothing! And much less drying than salts...in a glass bowl, pour about 1/2 cup of the powdered milk and mix in a few drops of your favorite essential oil, or oil blend; I like something soothing and emotionally uplifting like lavender,geranium, clary sage blend. Stir until well mixed. Add to the running bath water..remember hot water is drying...Apply eharcourts collagen mask to under- eye and lip area. and slip gently into your bath. |
